Use our broadband speed test to check your current broadband speed and see if you could be getting better speeds from a new broadband supplier.

How our broadband speed test works

To start the speed test click the button in the center of the test. The speed checker will download a file that will measure your broadband download speed. Once the download test is completed the test will upload a file to measure your broadband upload speed.

To get the best results make sure you are not using the internet for anything else, such as downloading or running other applications that use the internet, otherwise you may get results that do not represent your true speed. Your internet speed is measured in kbps (kilobits per second).

There are approximately 1000 Kbps is 1Mb/s, for example:

2000 Kbps = 2Mb
5000 Kbps = 5Mb
10000 Kbps = 10Mb
20000 Kbps = 20Mb
